Multifocal osteogenic sarcoma in the femur -Two cases report-

Abstract
|

|
We reviewed plain radiographs and bone scintigraphes of 37 consecutive cases of osteosarcoma, diagnosed pathologically with biopsy speciemens, during 13 years since 1980. Two cases with femoral involvement were assessed as multifocal
osteosarcoma.
One
patient was seventeen-year-old male, and the other was fifteen-year-old female. There were no demonstrable pulmonary metastasis on the initial chest radiographs and computerized tomographs. The clinical-radiological features and histologic
findings
of
those two multifocal osteosarcama cases were described with brief review of the articles about the pathogenesis of skeletal metastasis of osteosarcoma.
